Convention Purpose: to provide updated information across the practice spectrum of registered nurses and advanced practice nurses.

State, regional, and nationally recognized speakers will be presenting topics relevant to all.  The Convention will provide Continuing Nursing Education.  The content is designed to meet the needs of registered nurses and advanced practice nurses practicing in SC.  If Continuing Nursing Education is your chosen form of meeting the South Carolina Nurse Practice Act requirements, Chapter 33, Section 40-33-40, Continuing Competency for your biannual license or for your certification on the national level, this convention will be acceptable for those purposes.

Attendees of the Convention will be awarded up to 19 contact hours ( including Pre-Con Event).  The number of hours that have pharmacology and controlled substance content will vary depending on the breakout sessions attended.   In order to receive contact hours you must attend a session/breakout in its entirety and complete a CNE evaluation form.


SCNA is an Approved Provider of continuing nursing education by the Tennessee Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

Convention materials and handouts will be made available to registered attendees preceding the event and after the event for a limited time on our website.  You will be able to view and print the slides/handouts free from this page closer to the event and bring them with you.  You can choose to view and print them all, or only the sessions that you plan to attend.  Handouts will not be provided by SCNA.  Attendees are asked to print or download their own.  Attendees will have an option to purchase a CD of the Convention Materials.

As part of our first efforts in this exciting partnership, the SCNA Convention Planning team has worked diligently to create a Health Nurse Healthy Nation atmosphere for our 2017 meetings.


The Convention will feature:

Healthy meals and breaks

No soft drinks at breaks…. Water, teas, coffee and juices instead

Many opportunities for exercise during CNE presentations

Many opportunities for mindful activity during the CNE presentations

A special QR code game for exercise opportunities outside the CNE exercises.  Plan to have your cellphone ready with a QR reader App in place…OR wait until you get to Hilton Head and our own computer guru (Alias Rosie Robinson) will assist you in downloading the QR code.  THERE WILL BE OPPORTUNITIES FOR MONETARY PRIZES!

Cancellation Policy:

Registrants canceling in writing by October 19, 2017 will receive a full refund minus is a $100.00 handling fee.  If registration was paid by credit card, it will be refunded by credit card minus the handling fee, within 30 days.  If registration was paid by check, refund will be made by check minus the handling fee, within 90 days.

Substitution Policy:

Substitutions are allowed, however no later than three days before the event.  Contact SCNA at 803-252-4781 to make arrangements.
