About SCNA

Whether you are a graduating nurse, a newcomer to our state, a nurse with experience, or returning to the profession, we welcome you to nursing with a purpose in South Carolina. Since 1907, South Carolina Nurses Association members have effectively influenced health care policy and practice.

And today, no other orgainzation is better prepared than the South Carolina Nurses Association, SCNA, to insist on and facilitate the changes needed to ensure quality health care in our state. SCNA as part of the American Nurses Association works to set requirements to enter the profession, establishes standards of nursing practice and encourages practice by all registered nurses that uphold the Code of Ethics for Nurses.

The mission of the South Carolina Nurses Association (SCNA) is to represent all South Carolina registered nurses in a membership organization to promote and advocate the role of the nurses.
